On the Dinner Menu 4/9 to 4/15

Planning our dinners out for the week is a must for my family. Between one kid’s speech and OT schedule and the other kid’s karate, we have something every night of the week. So mapping out our dinners allows for one less decision during the week and that is super helpful!

Here is what we have on the menu this week. I’ve included links to recipes (if there is one). Always leave a comment with any suggestions or questions.

  • Sunday: Steaks on the grill with roasted red potatoes and green beans. I like to toss the potatoes and green beans in olive oil with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Then bake in the oven at 420 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  • Monday: I need to do a whole blog post about sliders. We’ve been doing them every Monday because it is quick, easy, and endless possibilities. This week we plan to do turkey and cheese with mayo and mustard on Hawaiian Rolls. Slice the buns in half, add your meat, cheese, and anything else you want. Then brush on lightly some melted butter on top of the buns, and sprinkle either italian seasoning or everything but bagel seasoning… chef’s kiss!! Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Pro tip – cover the sandwiches with foil for the first 15 minutes or the buns will burn.
  • Tuesday: It’s Taco Tuesday and we are going with your normal ground beef tacos this week. We prefer soft shell tacos, and all of the normal toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream). What’s your taco topping preference??
  • Wednesday: We are doing Waffle Wednesday and having breakfast for dinner. I will be making waffles and serving with bacon, sausage, and whatever fruit we have in the fridge.
  • Thursday: Pizza Braid (here is the recipe). Sidenote, I think it gets a little too messy with the sauce on the inside. So I only do the cheese and pepperoni and then we dip it in sauce!
  • Friday: Since we had pizza on Thursday, we will probably do takeout or leftovers from the week.
  • Saturday: Takeout which probably means Culvers or another local restuarant we can get burgers and fries from.

Some weeks are so hard to come up with ideas that everyone will eat and I hate being a short-order cook making 3 different dinners. So if you have any great recipes, share in the comments for everyone!
