Leprechaun Bait: Fun Treat for St. Patrick’s Day

I can’t believe it is March and with that being said St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. So I decided to make a fun, no-bake treat with my boys called Leprechaun Bait.

It is super easy and most of the items you may already have in your pantry. Plus, I love it because you can add or take away any of your favorite snacks.

Here are the ingredients and instructions on how to make this quick, fun treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups rice Chex
  • 1/2 cup green M&Ms
  • 1 cup Lucky Charms
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl minus the white chocolate chips.
  2. Then dump the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for one minute. Stir and then microwave again for 30 seconds. Repeat this until the white chocolate chips are completely melted.
  3. Quickly, dump the melted white chocolate chips into the snack mix and stir until the snack mix is completely coated in chocolate.
  4. Next, pour the snack mix onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and spread the mix out to dry.
  5. Note – you will want to let it dry for an hour or two before eating. You can also place it in the freezer to set up faster. I know this can be easier with impatient little ones!
  6. Enjoy 🙂

The Leprechaun Bait makes a large batch so get ready to share for days! I think adding peanuts or raisins would be a great addition. What do you think?

It would also be a fun treat to put in mason jars and give to teachers with a tag that says “I’m so lucky to have you as my teacher”. I have created 3 different designs that you can download for free, just click on the link below.
