I can’t believe it is March and with that being said St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. So I decided to make a fun, no-bake treat with my boys called Leprechaun Bait.
It is super easy and most of the items you may already have in your pantry. Plus, I love it because you can add or take away any of your favorite snacks.
Here are the ingredients and instructions on how to make this quick, fun treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pretzels
- 2 cups rice Chex
- 1/2 cup green M&Ms
- 1 cup Lucky Charms
- 1 bag of white chocolate chips
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
Instructions

- Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl minus the white chocolate chips.
- Then dump the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for one minute. Stir and then microwave again for 30 seconds. Repeat this until the white chocolate chips are completely melted.
- Quickly, dump the melted white chocolate chips into the snack mix and stir until the snack mix is completely coated in chocolate.
- Next, pour the snack mix onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and spread the mix out to dry.
- Note – you will want to let it dry for an hour or two before eating. You can also place it in the freezer to set up faster. I know this can be easier with impatient little ones!
- Enjoy 🙂

The Leprechaun Bait makes a large batch so get ready to share for days! I think adding peanuts or raisins would be a great addition. What do you think?
It would also be a fun treat to put in mason jars and give to teachers with a tag that says “I’m so lucky to have you as my teacher”. I have created 3 different designs that you can download for free, just click on the link below.
