This past weekend we went to Legoland for the Brick-or-Treat Monster Party event. My oldest was so excited because he is obsessed with Halloween (really all holidays). He couldn’t wait to ride the dragon rollercoaster because there was a special disco party added for this monster party!
Brick-or-Treat is every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) from September 24 to October 30, and is included in your normal theme park ticket. Families are encouraged to wear costumes. We brought ours for the boys but it was so hot they didn’t have them on long. Next year, I would put them in Halloween t-shirts to at least be festive!
Rides and Attractions
We rode all of our favorites rides. I thought it was so fun that a lot of the rides had added Halloween elements like special music or Lego pumpkins. Oliver is obsessed with riding the carousel and every round was a different spooky song; we heard Thriller, Ghostbusters, and Somebody’s Watching Me.
Meet and Greets
Auggie got so excited to meet the Lego Shark Suit Guy since he was wearing a shark costume to the party. There were several other special characters to meet like the Lego Zombie Cheerleader, Lego Scarecrow, Lego Mummy, Lego Spider Lady, and a few others. These special Halloween characters also participated in a few shows throughout the theme park.
Food
We ate several special treats that day. My personal favorite was the pumpkin cake from the Legoland Coffee Company. Cory’s favorite was the BBQ wings from the Dragon’s Den. Other special treats (that we didn’t get to try) included a pumpkin spice milkshake, Lego Monster apple fries, and Monster Mash Funnel Cake.
There were trick-or-treating stops throughout the park. Each one with a different theme and type of candy. I appreciated that the lines were never too long for this and always moved quickly. Also, free bags were provided so need to bring anything extra with you!

Final Thoughts
Because we are annual passholders to the theme park and live nearby, we drove up and back in one day. We have stayed at the Legoland Hotel and the Beach Retreat before though. Both are great options on property if you’re planning a weekend stay!
