Every week, we plan out our dinners. This helps with grocery shopping and sticking to a list. It also helps us not fight about what’s for dinner. Because let’s be honest, after a busy day of school pick ups and work, no one wants to make another decision.
So having the week mapped out ahead of time helps save a lot of time. And saves us from eating popcorn and ice cream for dinner 🙂
Here is our dinner menu for the week. I have linked the recipes we will be using including any notes if necessary.
- Sunday: Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken
- Monday: Turkey Burger with a side salad – we use this homemade vinaigrette dressing recipe.
- Tuesday: Taco Rice Bowls – we make these often! Basically it’s whatever we have on hand, but typically it is rice, black beans, corn, salsa, avocado, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and sometimes roasted sweet potatoes.
- Wednesday: Chicken Stir Fry – we will be using our flat top grill. This dish includes chicken, rice, broccoli, carrots, edamame, and red pepper.
- Thursday: Easy Lobster Rolls – we are using King’s Hawaiian Rolls. Can’t wait to try this because Martha never lets you down with a recipe.
- Friday: Homemade Pizza – using this easy dough recipe
- Saturday: Takeout – no one wants to cook on a Saturday
I’ll be back next week to share what’s on the dinner menu for the Simpson House!
