My Favorite Things | #2

January has been a fun month and I feel like it’s flown by. I swear Christmas break was just last week! But either way, a lots happened this month that I want to share.

So here is a list of my favorite things from January:

1. Favorite Show

My husband and I watched the show Wednesday on Netflix. The show follows Wednesday Addams at boarding school and all of the drama and darkness that surrounds her.

It’s only 8 episodes and definitely worth the watch! Jenna Ortega, who plays Wednesday, captured the role well and I can’t wait for season 2.

2. favorite clothing purchase

I definitely have a shopping problem, but I love new clothes and accessories. This month I ordered 2 lounge sets on Amazon and loved them both, but this waffle set is my fav!

It’s so soft and comfortable. If you are in between sizes, I would definitely go up for a looser fit. That’s what I did. It also comes in a ton of other colors, but this purple/lilac is my favorite color right now. The set is not super thick which is nice for the Florida weather or springtime.

3. favorite recipe

We are always trying new recipes and this month was no different. My favorite new recipe we tried was this Mustard Pretzel Chicken. It was so yummy!! The sauce was something I want to use for every chicken dish now, it was delicious and super easy to make with condiments I’m sure you keep in your house all the time.

I even omitted the egg in the wash because of my son’s allergy and it was fine. The breading probably would have stuck together a bit more but it wasn’t a huge deal. We all agreed we’d eat this again which is a huge win in our house!!

I served this with roasted red potatoes and green beans.

4. favorite activity

We took a little weekend trip to Walt Disney World for my birthday this year. It was a last minute surprise and so much fun! We enjoyed Disney Springs when we arrived in Orlando, eating dinner at our favorite spot The Polite Pig. I always get the Southern Pig sandwich and a side of brussel sprouts. Highly recommend their food, the Mac and cheese also needs a shout out because the toasted bread crumb topping is to die for!

The next day we went to Epcot. Which typically isn’t my favorite park with our kids, but we had a blast! No plans just walking, riding what we could, and eating and drinking around the World Showcase. It was a super chill and fun day. I love the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride, it is so cute and perfect for the whole family. We also took the boys on Soarin’ Around the World for the first time. Wasn’t sure how they would like it, but it was a big hit!

The croque glacé was my favorite treat found in the France Pavilion. Watch my tik tok here to see what it is and how they make it.

My favorite drink was the Frozen Fiesta Margarita in the Mexico Pavilion. It was a mix of all three flavors: lime, strawberry, and mango. Yum!

So many fun things and memories made in January, can’t wait to share my favorite things from February.
